Now I am sure everyone by now has noticed CCB is pretty casual when it comes to our service format. In spite of the service not coming off as a highly formal structured event, it takes a considerable number of people serving in order to hold our Sunday morning service at NSC. One of the most vital things that happens Sunday mornings is prayer for the service. A committed core group composed of the Lockies and elder’s Gary and Mark would love others to enjoy the richness of this time as those gathered pray for the service at NSC as well as for the Brittany Park service. Whether you can join at 9:15 AM or even just for the last few minutes up until 9:45 AM, you are welcome and encouraged to gather with this group just inside the NSC entrance to the right. |

Join others in Pre-Service Prayer at 9:15 AM Sundays at NSC just inside the front doors. |

We plan to send an additional team to partner with Pastor Steve Brown of Calvary Gold Coast for another long term relief effort. See Kurt for details. We sent a S.O.A.R. team down last summer to assist. |

Pastor Marty shared in a special “We remember : Prayer Memorial Service for Sept 11th” at Bothell Landing Amphitheatre at 8:30 AM on Sunday Morning September 11th. Jack H and Suzanne also spoke. While it was unfortunate that Mike Anson of FDNY Rescue 1 was called away to assist in New Orleans, we still had a special time of prayer. Mike was at the Sun Apr. 30th Service and our Men’s Retreat .
About the FDNY Prayer and outreach ministry: The Hagelins head up this ministry team who pray for the needs of the fire and police public servants that were impacted by the events of September 11th. There have been many trips to firehouses in New York City. These are ongoing efforts that are occurring long after most other organizations no longer are ministering to those first responders.
In addition, they outreach and intercede for local first responders in our own communities. If you know of a need, please contact Suzanne.
We also are prayerfully supporting the creation of a local chapter of Firefighters for Christ. If you know of a local firefighter that can benefit from involvement with this ministry, contact Jack Henderson. |

We have a ministry that reaches out to FDNY and prays for them. Suzanne has a prayer request so you can pray for them too. Thank You Lord for the training offered in West Virginia! Pray for: · God's blessing on the way they are trained, that it would be very effective. · For His peace to rule over their minds, that they wouldn't be haunted by images of what could happen or memories of past horrors. · For a spirit of cooperation and peace between all the different departments of first responders, whether FD, police, Port Authority or whomever. · For the Lord's protection over them physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. How blessed is he who considers the helpless! Psalm 41:1-2a Thank you for praying. - Suzanne ——————————————————————————— In an Old West Virginia Tunnel, a Team of City Rescuers Rehearses for the Worst. F. Brian Ferguson for The New York Times |
